Conditions of Hire
The Hall is licensed and available for hire under the Provisions of Local Government (Miscellaneous Provision) Act
1982. A copy of the conditions of license is available for inspection by arrangement with the Chairperson or Administrator.
The Parish Hall Trustees offer the Hall for hire under the rules, conditions and regulations of the above mentioned Act
and, in addition, impose certain conditions of their own.

2. Hirers shall acquaint themselves with the use of the fire appliances and shall be responsible for evacuating the premises in
the event of a fire. There is a fire blanket in the kitchen and the fire extinguishers are located:
- Inside the main hall door, on left
- To Left of fire door to parking area
- To right of back door in kitchen
3. Free access must at all times be maintained from the body of the of the Hall to the main entrance and emergency exit doors.
4. Hirers are responsible for the removal of all RUBBISH AND LITTER from the Hall, it must be taken away.
5. Smoking is NOT permitted in the Hall. There is a butt bin outside the main entrance.
6. The Hall must not be used in any way so as to cause nuisance or annoyance to nearby residents, whether by noise or any other behaviour.
7. The Hirer shall exercise effective control over the volume of sound.
8. Amplifiers and sound equipment must be plugged into the specified socket adjacent to the noise controller on the side of the stage.
9. Music must cease by 11pm.
10. No exhibition, demonstration or performance of hypnotism is permitted.
11. Any strobe lighting equipment must be arranged to operate at a fixed frequency not exceeding eight flashes per second.
12. The Hall must be securely locked and left in the same condition as found.
13. The Hirer must agree to indemnify the Trustees against any action, claim, costs or damages in respect of any injury or damage to any person or persons or anything whatsoever bought into the Hall in connection with or during the hire period. All property bought into the Hall is entirely at the owners risk.
14. The Hirer shall be responsible for making arrangements to insure any third party claims which may lie against the Hirer whilst using the Hall.
15. Electrical appliances can only be used in the Hall at the Trustees permission. Electric fires must NOT be used in the Hall.
16. Intoxicating liquor must not be sold on the premises unless permitted by license issued by Dover District Council.
17. Hirers shall be responsible for providing their own FIRST AID facilities; however, a first aid kit is kept in the kitchen.
18. Bouncy castles are not permitted in the Hall but can be erected on the green in front of the Hall (weather permitting) and by prior arrangement.
Bouncy Castle Hire is entirely at the Hirer’s own risk.
Hirers must ensure they have their own personal liability insurance, that specifies it covers bouncy castles and evidence of this insurance must be supplied to the bookings administrator prior to day of hire.
- If permission has been given to erect a bouncy castle outside, in front of the hall, then it must be securely anchored to the ground at each anchor point and each anchor point should be easily visible and signed and wrapped to prevent injury.
- Hire of the bouncy castle must be from a regulated, reputable company.
- Access and use must be controlled by an authorised adult at all times.
- Soft matting must be used to cover hard surfaces, adjacent to the front or any open sides where there is a risk of injury from falling from the inflatable. All of the supplier’s safety recommendations must be adhered to.
- Children must remove sharp articles such as shoes, buckles or jewellery.
- The castle should not be overcrowded, only the number specified by the manufacturer should be allowed on at any time.
- A mix of large and small children is not allowed.
- Adults and children should not use the bouncy castle at the same time.
- No children under 2 years of age are allowed.
I, confirm I have read and understood the above, regarding bouncy castles, and I attach evidence of the appropriate insurance.

19. Hirers must be aware that the village green does not form part of this hire agreement. It is owned separately and prior permission must be obtained before use.
20. No laser equipment is permitted on the premises.
21. Any breach of these conditions could lead to the immediate withdrawal of the hiring facility and the loss of part or all of the fees paid.
WEDDING PARTIES
Weddings are permitted in the Hall only. The green adjacent to the Hall is not owned by the Hall and is not, therefore, included in the hire.
Wedding parties cannot use the green except for parking (weather permitting).
No music is permitted outside of the Hall.
£200 is required to be paid at the time of booking. This is a deposit to cover any damages and will be refunded in full, after the event, providing the Hall is left in a clean and undamaged condition.
In addition, the hire charge of £450 must be paid at least two weeks prior to the event.
The Hall hire is until 12 midnight but all music and the noise must cease at 11pm.
The hirer must arrange their own Public Liability Insurance and evidence of this must be given to the bookings administrator, prior to the hire.
